Music
Margaret Brentnall is an active Music Teacher (and owner of Trio Music Studio) in Calgary, Alberta. She completed her BA in Music with Distinction at the University of Calgary where she studied Composition with Allan Gordon Bell. She also studied Voice Pedagogy with Roberta Stephen. Margaret is an Advanced Specialist in Voice and Theory with the Royal Conservatory of Music and has been a Voice Adjudicator with NATS – National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Margaret is a member of NATS as well as ARMTA/CFMTA – Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association/Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Association.
Margaret prepares singers for local competitions in different styles, including Music Theatre. She has enjoyed singing with local choirs such as the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus and Festival Chorus.
Writing/Publishing
Randy Chan is the Senior Marketing Manager for Harlequin, and has worked in publishing for over 20 years. He has held marketing roles at Penguin Random House, House of Anansi and HarperCollins.
A graduate of the Centennial College Book and Magazine Publishing program, Randy now teaches a summer course at Humber College’s Creative Book Publishing program.
Randy was also Vice President of the Board of Directors at The Word on the Street Festival. He lives in Toronto.
