A collection of song poems

PETIT MAL
I want to smash myself against you like the waves against a rock
Or flutter like a foetal heart; a silent bird…to talk.
To wake you in the dead of night with moonlight’s pulsing thought
To penetrate and touch your core with music loud and fraught.

Under the planets’ careful turn, dance in the cool, wet flowers;
Spinning your fearful soul to learn the wisdom of eons’ hours.

I want to wrap myself around you like the ocean’s velvet moss;
And dance with every rolling surge, with every leaping toss.
Or settle in a curling frond in stillness dark and deep,
To sway with every sighing breath you murmur in your sleep.

Flying through the heavens; orbiting in time;
Glancing eyes hypnotize, altering direction.
What we do…painting the same fiction.
Nothing new…only the rising sun.

I want to stand inside the mute space of synaptic me and you
And see our landscape’s unknown face when lightning flashes through.
In spite of dangers from the storm, I’ll foolishly remain
To dance in yielding blindness and to follow love again.

Under the planets’ careful turn, dance in the cool, wet flowers;
Spinning your fearful soul to learn the wisdom of eons’ hours.
